- Mastering the fundamentals of animal ethics and the responsibilities of a procedure applicator
- To know the basics of ruminant and equine biology and the specificities of their use
- Understand the operating principles and health management of a pet store housing these species
- Master the basic gestures for their maintenance, handling and simple procedures
Regulation, ethics, 3Rs, ethics committees, SBEA, alternative methods, limit points, euthanasia, criteria for choosing a model
- Specialised module for ruminants and equines (32.5 hrs)
Specific biology of ruminants and equines (ethology, anatomy, physiology), organisation and equipment of animal facilities, water quality, maintenance and enrichment techniques, observation of animals, health monitoring, pathologies, transport, anaesthesia, analgesia, euthanasia, interest in models, visit to a site and observation of minimally invasive procedures.
