• Mastering the fundamentals of animal ethics and the responsibilities of a procedure applicator

• Understand the operating principles and health management of a pet store housing these species
• Master the basic gestures for their maintenance, handling, restraint and simple procedures

Regulation, ethics, 3Rs, ethics committees, SBEA, alternative methods, limit points, euthanasia, criteria for choosing a model

• Specialised module for rodents and lagomorphs (32.5 hrs)

Specific biology of rodents and lagomorphs (ethology, anatomy, physiology), organisation and equipment of animal facilities, maintenance and enrichment techniques, observation of animals, health monitoring, pathologies, breeding, genetics, anaesthesia, analgesia, euthanasia, interest in models, handling, restraint and minimally invasive procedures.

Assessment of knowledge in the form of a questionnaire leading to a training certificate
