• Mastering the fundamentals of animal ethics and the responsibilities of a procedure applicator
• Understand the basic biology of aquatic species and the specific uses to which they are put
• Understand the operating principles and health management of a pet store housing these species
• Master the basic gestures for their maintenance, handling and simple procedures

Regulation, ethics, 3Rs, ethics committees, SBEA, alternative methods, limit points, euthanasia, criteria for choosing a model

• Specialised module on aquatic species (32.5 hrs)

Specific biology of aquatic species (ethology, anatomy, physiology), animal house organisation and equipment, water quality, maintenance and enrichment techniques, animal observation, health monitoring, pathologies, holding conditions, anaesthesia, analgesia, euthanasia, interest in models, site visit and observation of minimally invasive procedures.
