This training course consists of the basic module for carers + a specific module for rodents and lagomorphs.
In addition to the training, you will benefit from 3.5 hours of specialised training (session on the agenda) offered in the first year following this training.

Prerequisites
- Master the fundamentals of animal ethics and the responsibilities of an animal carer
- Understand the basic biology of rodents and lagomorphs and their specific uses
- Understand the operating principles and health management of a pet store housing these species
- Master the basic procedures for their care, handling and restraint
Regulation, ethics, 3Rs, ethics committees, SBEA, euthanasia
- Specialised module for rodents and lagomorphs (27.5 hrs)
Specific biology of rodents and lagomorphs (ethology, anatomy, physiology), pet shop organisation and equipment, maintenance and enrichment techniques, animal observation, health monitoring, pathologies, breeding, genetics, euthanasia, handling and restraint.
